Attracting mutton busters and steer wrestlers from all over the United States, the prestigious Redding Rodeo is a week-long event with excitement for all ages.  The Gnarly Neon is coming back to Redding on May 3rd to make sure everyone is behaving colorfully! This 5K-of-growing-fame features live bands, djs, crazy costumes, clouds of crazy colors, a super fun after party, oh and some running. All runners, walkers, skippers, and hoppers (and teams therein) are encouraged to wear their whitest running gear OR their wackiest costume. The Sundial Film Festival, Redding's annual celebration of those behind the lens, returns to the Cascade Theatre this March! Organized and presented by the Active 20-30 Club of Redding Foundation, the festival showcases the talent and diversity of filmmakers and photographers in a variety of film and photography categories. Films are less than 30 minutes in length and can be of any genre or style. This March, the SWEAT Running Club of Redding will hold its annual NorCal John Frank Memorial Run. The race remembers a young man who excelled in distance running at Central Valley High School and went on to run for Oregon State before his untimely death. "Frank was one of the best high school distance runners in the U.S. in 1980 and remains something of a local legend in Northern California.
