City of Redding

Redding is located 160 miles north of Sacramento, an outdoor recreation mecca for all Californians. Redding is the center for health, government, and commerce for the northern California area, and visually resembles the Pacific Northwest. Gorgeous scenery with the Sacramento River winding through the heart of the city and with three mountain ranges surrounding the city. Numerous bridges, quaint little mining towns, as well as lakes, rivers and creeks are all scattered throughout. Population: 80,000.

City of Anderson

Anderson is located 10 miles south of Redding and 150 miles north of Sacramento on Interstate 5. Small town, rural look with a 450 acre park situated on the banks of the Sacramento River. Shasta District Fairgrounds, 45 acres, in Anderson and features a millhouse, windmill, and old time general storefronts and a barn. Also, 1/3 mile asphalt racetrack with grandstand seating of 1500 and satellite horseracing facilities. Population 8,865.
