Segway Tours

Located near the historic monolith at Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Shasta Glide ‘n Ride in Redding offers one of the "fastest, longest, and least expensive segway tours segway 1in the world."

The tours travel across the world-renowned Sundial Bridge and meander along the banks of the Sacramento River for up to 11 miles on the nationally designated Sacramento River National Recreation Trail. Plenty of Wild West stories focused on Redding's rich Native American history, gold rush settlers, and railroad development are broadcast over a remote communication system, making it easy to clearly hear the guide throughout your tour. As you glide along the wide, paved trail next to the river, you are likely to see turtles, otter, deer, or even bald eagles.

Several tours are offered from 1 to 3 hours and a popular weekend-only Night Glide has also been added by reservation only throughout the summer. All tours include a 15 minute segway 2training session and free Phase-Change cooling vests are available for those extra warm summer days.

If you prefer to explore the trail on your own, retro-style cruiser bicycles in adult and children's sizes are available for rent for self-guided touring.

Log on to Shasta Glide ‘n Ride today to learn more about this very fun and unique way to experience Redding.
