Let's Rodeo!

By | 03/19/2014

If your Redding events calendar hasn't filled up for May yet, you should saddle up for the 66th Annual Redding Rodeo! Attracting mutton busters and steer wrestlers from all over the United States, the prestigious Redding Rodeo is a week-long event with excitement for all ages. It kicks off with a steak feed BBQ and dance (with karaoke championships, no less!) at the rodeo arena on May 10th, and following days include barrel racing and mutton bustin'- where future Rodeo Champs ride the wool off some sheep! The silver tour rodeo officially opens on May14th and the Champions Challenge performance closes out the festivities on Saturday evening, May 17th. Whether you're a boots-and-buckles cowboy or just someone curious to see some impressive athleticism, the Redding Rodeo is a great way to get your fix! Redding is beautiful year-round, but May is when we really show off our springtime assets. Come for rodeo week and explore some of the 225+ miles of Redding trails, the exceptional steelhead and salmon fishing in and around Redding, and the many hiking and OHV areas! When we talk about all the great outdoor activities and recreation Redding has to offer, we mean bull riding too! Get Redding Rodeo ticket information and a full calendar of events at See you in the arena!
