1 hour: 

Check out Redding's finest Sundial Bridge, built by Santiago Calatrave's this glass-bottomed, 217-foot pylon, suspension masterpiece is a must see.  

2 hours:

We recommend our Lake Shasta Caverns National Natural Landmark, where you can experience prehistoric cave formations, crystals, and geo-wonders. 


Shasta Dam offers a engineering wonder for hydroelectric power for a 15 state electric grid! The free, guided tour includes its storied construction.

Half a day:

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area has four major waterfalls to choose from, the largest being 220-foot Whiskeytown falls and the moderate trail is a great opportunity to enjoy nature while getting your exercise in. 

A whole day:

Lassen Volcanic National Park is home to smoking fumaroles, meadows freckled with wildflowers, clear mountain lakes, and numerous volcanoes.
