For families looking to cool off more thoroughly, there are some places to know! Water Works Park provides chances to cool down without having to wander far from civilization, including activity pools and epic waterslides. Do laps in the Olympic-sized pool or enjoy a waterslide at Redding Aquatic Center for something more low-key but equally worthwhile.

While venturing beyond Redding, some of the region’s rumbling waterfalls also provide some of the most scenic places to swim.
